A Connecticut woman was arrested for stealing from the Putnam company she worked for

A 45-year-old Connecticut woman was arrested for stealing over $97,000 from the Putnam company she worked for.

Marlenin Vito was charged with grand theft and falsification of business records.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was alerted last April by a business owner that they suspected their accountant was accepting money from the company.

Investigators reviewed financial documents and conducted interviews to uncover discrepancies that led to Vito’s arrest.
