Man charged with rape and sexual assault of babysitter in Anaheim

A 32-year-old man pleaded not guilty Monday to charges he raped a woman and sexually assaulted a babysitter in Anaheim.

Thomas Edward Alberson was charged Thursday with rape and fleeing police during a reckless driving incident, both felonies, as well as the misdemeanor count of groping. His next court date was May 28 for a bail review hearing at the North Justice Center in Fullerton and a preliminary hearing on June 7.

The alleged rape and stalking occurred on Jan. 1 and the burial incidents occurred on Oct. 31 and Dec. 14, according to the criminal complaint.
