Neighbor has sexually abused a minor girl in Kasaragod, confirms the police

Kasaragod: In a major step in the investigation into the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl, the Kanhangad police here on Monday identified the accused. The police claimed that a man from Coorg, the girl’s neighbor, kidnapped her and sexually abused her. According to Coorg, the examination team was reported to take it into custody.

Five days after the crime, the police obtained crucial information about the accused. The accused has lived in the girl’s neighboring house for many years. But on May 15th he suddenly left his house. The police felt something suspicious when he suddenly left the area. According to reports, further investigations have been confirmed by his role in the crime. The police also obtained CCTV pictures that showed the defendant’s face. It is indicated that he is also charged in a different Pocso case.

The case
The 10-year-old girl who slept in her house was allegedly kidnapped on May 15 and sexually abused. She was found abandoned in a nearby paddy field in this northernmost district of Kerala in the early hours of Wednesday. The girl was allegedly kidnapped from a hamlet that falls below the border of the Hosdurg police station.

According to the child’s family members, she was allegedly abducted from her grandfather’s room after he left the house to milk his cows around 3 a.m. When he came back after a while, she was found missing in bed. They said that the grandfather always went out after he had closed the door, but never closed it. The other family members, including the victim’s father, mother and sister, were sleeping in another room in the same house, they said.

The unfortunate girl was left in a rice field, knocked on the door of a nearby house and called her father from a resident’s phone. Her family quoted the girl as saying an unknown man led her out of the house and threatened to kill her if she raised the alarm.

“Her earrings were missing … she said the perpetrator spoke Malayalam,” a family member told the media. Because of their complaint, the police took up a case and initiated a search to find the accused.
