42-year-old man arrested for alleged sexual assault of Lowe’s employee in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Va. – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a Lowe’s employee.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store on Commonwealth Blvd.

Authorities report that the victim was working when a man, later identified as Malvester Penn III, approached the employee and began speaking to him. The employee claims Penn touched her inappropriately and made sexual comments moments later

The sheriff’s office worked with Martinsville police to identify Penn as a suspect and arrested him that same day around 4 p.m. We’re told he was charged with sexual assault and was also banned from the business.

Penn was given a $2,000 bond for his actions in the incident.
