West Greenwich crash involving a school bus under investigation

WEST GREENWICH, Rhode Island (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into a crash involving a school bus on I-95 Monday evening.

The accident occurred near Exit 14B on I-95 North just before 9 p.m

12 News spotted a damaged school bus on the highway as well as what appeared to be a construction vehicle.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured, but 12 News saw several ambulances carrying patients coming and going.

The accident initially blocked all lanes on the highway. according to RIDOTbut an hour later traffic was flowing again.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

12 News has reached out to RI State Police for more information but has not yet heard back.
