Butler County man arrested for drug possession during traffic stop

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – One person has been arrested on drug charges in Morgantown, Kentucky.

According to a social media post from Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor, officers conducted a traffic stop Sunday morning at the Church Street stop sign at WGL Smith Street resulting from an incident that occurred Saturday evening.

According to police, the person was identified as Christopher Noyd, 56, of Morgantown.

During the traffic stop, police said they found methamphetamine as well as needles and a small container with suspected methamphetamine residue.

Noyd is initially charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was transported and booked into the Butler County Jail.
