A crash on Interstate 255 sends two people to the hospital

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash on eastbound Interstate 255 at the Jefferson Barracks Bridge. The accident occurred on Saturday, May 11, at around 7:30 p.m.

A 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling south on Interstate 255 when a 2024 Volvo tractor made an unsafe lane change into the car’s path. The semi-truck collided with the car, causing it to spin in circles.

The car left the road to the left and crashed into a concrete wall. It then corrected its course and drove back onto the road, where the semi-truck collided with it again, this time on the passenger side.

Both the driver and passenger were taken to a nearby hospital, with the passenger suffering serious injuries.
