19-year-old shot at Motel 6 in Victorville, suspect arrested – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Authorities arrested a suspect in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jontae Marsh at a Motel 6 in the city of Victorville.

On Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1:26 p.m., officers from the Victorville Station responded to a report of a shooting at the motel in the 16800 block of Stoddard Wells Road.

When officers arrived, they discovered that Jonate Marsh, a Victorville resident, had been shot. Marsh was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers at the scene arrested several people for questioning while the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Division – Homicide – took over the investigation.

Through the investigation, homicide detectives learned that Marsh was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect Terry Williamsa Victorville resident when Williams retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot Marsh.

Williams was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center, where he remains without bail.
