NATCHEZ – A teenager was injured and had to be flown to a hospital after an ATV accident at a private event late Saturday afternoon.

Adams County sheriff’s deputies planned to close US 84 near Windy Hill Road so the rescue helicopter could land. However, the Core Civic Correctional Facility gave the helicopter permission to land on its property.

The teen and another person were in a four-wheel-drive accident at the annual Fleming Crawfish Boil and Trail Ride on Windy Hill Road. It is suspected that the injured teenager has a broken leg. The other injured person was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle.

No further information is available regarding the course of the accident.
