Yeddyurappa assures JD(S) alliance intact after sexual abuse allegations against Prajwal Revanna caused uproar

Mysuru: Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa said sexual abuse allegations against JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna will have no impact on the BJP-JD(S) alliance in the state.

“It would continue for the general elections as well. It has already been decided to give two seats to JD(S) and retain four seats for the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections. The candidates would be announced by BJP national president JP Nadda soon,” he said while speaking to mediapersons in Mysuru on Saturday.

Yeddyurappa also said, “The Prajwal Revanna case should be handed over to the CBI for transparent investigation based on the opinion of several people.”

He added, “The BJP will win more than 400 Lok Sabha seats, including 24-25 seats in the state. In the Lok Sabha polls, people are paying attention to the Prime Minister candidate. Since the Congress does not have a candidate of this caliber for the post of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will be Prime Minister again.”

Yeddyurappa also said that the state is facing severe drought and lakes have dried up, hence the state government should waive farm loans and support farmers to prepare their land for sowing.
