Bronx “rapist” Kashaan Parks was arrested for “choking and dragging a woman with a belt” in a “vile” video as a dark past came to light

A suspected rapist who was caught on camera dragging a middle-aged woman behind a car with his belt has been arrested, police said.

Kashaan Parks, 39, terrified New Yorkers after he was recorded sexually assaulting a woman on a public street earlier this month.

Around 3 a.m. on May 1, a masked man was caught on camera following a woman on a street in the Bronx.

The man ran behind the woman and grabbed his belt around her neck before dragging her to the ground and behind a car.

The sick criminal was then seen standing over the woman’s body as she lay unconscious.

On Saturday, New York police named the man in the video Parks and said he had been arrested.

The police knew Parks because he had been arrested twice before for eerily similar crimes.

In October 2018, he was charged with assault after punching a 46-year-old woman multiple times during an argument, according to police records obtained by the New York Post.

During the fight, he allegedly hit her once in the head and smashed a lamp by throwing the victim’s phone at it.
