Tennessee Titans OLB Arden Key is reportedly facing suspension

The Tennessee Titans are in danger of missing one of their best pass rushers for the first six games of the 2024 season, as outside linebacker Arden Key is reportedly facing a suspension.

According to Paul Kuharsky, Key faces a six-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. Key is expected to start alongside Harold Landry on Tennessee’s defense.

The suspension will be a major blow to Tennessee’s defense, as the team is already short-changed at that position with its two starters. In addition to Landry and Key, the Titans have Rashad Weaver, Thomas Rush, Caleb Murphy, Jaylen Harrell, Shane Ray and UDFA Khalid Duke on the roster.

However, Weaver has been a huge disappointment in three NFL seasons and the rest of the players on the roster are all question marks, to say the least.

The news comes the same day Key was involved in a fight during his first practice in protective gear on Tuesday. Key reportedly struck offensive lineman Leroy Watson during the scuffle.

Unless someone great emerges from the above group, the Titans should be on the lookout for an edge rusher in the future. According to Over the Cap, the Titans have plenty of money at their disposal, as they have $24.1 million in salary cap space.
