Washington man arrested for sexually abusing a minor

HAVELOCK, NC (WNCT) – Officers with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested a Washington man for indecent conduct with a minor.

Havelock Police officers began investigating 29-year-old Cornelius Farris-Cobb after allegations of sexual abuse of a minor surfaced in March. Havelock Police charged Farris-Cobb with sexual abuse of a minor and sexual abuse of a minor.

On July 23, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Farris-Cobb in Beaufort County and immediately took him into custody. He is currently being held without bail in the Craven County Jail.
