ATV driver killed in accident | News

MONROE – A 22-year-old woman died Saturday when she and her father were thrown from a four-by-four at Black Rock Adventure Park and Campground, Ashtabula County Sheriff William Niemi said.

The woman killed was Alexis Lott, her father, Scott Lott (38), was injured.

“They were driving recklessly in the park and it overturned and they were both thrown out,” Niemi said.

He said she was killed and Scott Lott was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was unknown Monday.

The park offers a variety of activities such as off-roading, concerts and camping. “It always comes down to how people behave,” Niemi said of the potential danger.

“We will conduct the investigation, alcohol may have played a role,” he said. “When the investigation is complete, we will pass the information on to the public prosecutor’s office.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of the Lott family to raise funds. It can be found at www.gofundme.com/f/honoring-alexis-lott.
