South Charlotte homicide investigation

CHARLOTTE, NC – According to a press release, CMPD is conducting a homicide investigation on Shadow Elm Drive near South Blvd.

The press release states that officers responded to an attack with a deadly weapon shortly before 2 a.m. on July 29.

Officers said they found a man with numerous stab wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to CMPD, investigators are speaking with a suspect.
