Two men arrested in connection with investigation into “deadly conduct” near Alton, sheriff’s office says

Two men were arrested in connection with what the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office described as a “fatal incident” that left one person hospitalized in rural Alton.

Sheriff’s office officials responded to a report of a fatal incident in the 1300 block of Kansas Street around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, where they found an unidentified man of Latino descent with injuries to his leg, a news release said.

The injuries were not life-threatening and the man was taken to hospital, the press release continued.

A vehicle with numerous bullet holes was also found at the crime scene, the press release states.

Two unidentified men identified as suspects were detained for questioning in connection with the incident, the press release said.
