Actress receives severe criticism for alleged sexual harassment of a male colleague

A popular actress’s inappropriate behavior toward her male co-star has caused considerable controversy in Korea.

Reportedly on July 25 KST, actress Jeong Ga Eun had posted a picture of herself at a theater rehearsal with her co-star. The two were in close contact in the photo, but Jeong’s hand was touching her co-star’s butt.

While posting, the actress also added an inappropriate caption to the photo.

The actress’ post immediately sparked a public backlash, which led to her deleting the post. Many netizens analyzed Jeong’s post and concluded that the photo, along with the caption, could constitute sexual harassment of the male actor.

On July 27, following the public outcry, Jeong published an apology on her Instagram.

I posted a scene from a play during rehearsal and made some off-handed comments that made all of you uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, Jeong Ga Eun debuted as a model in 1997 and became known through her appearances in variety shows, including shows such as Infinite Girls And Rollercoaster. She married a businessman in 2016, but the couple divorced in 2018. Currently, the actress is a single mother.
