Commit Alert: Rutgers takes Dyzier Carter

Rutgers has carried its recruiting momentum from the 2025 class directly into the 2026 class as they added another 2026 commitment in four-star player Dyzier Carter. Carter is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound wide receiver from Woodberry Forest, Virginia. Yesterday, he announced his commitment to play for Rutgers on his X account (formerly Twitter).

During his sophomore season at Woodberry Forest, Carter collected stats from all areas of the lineup, splitting time as a wide receiver, running back and even taking some snaps as a quarterback. When used as a receiver, he caught 20 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns. As a running back, he had 36 carries for 298 yards and five touchdowns. Versatility is his thing.

Carter has offers from schools like Penn State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Michigan and South Carolina.

Carter is currently listed as a four-star player on all major recruiting sites and is the No. 89 receiver in his class according to 247.

Carter joins Gavin Sidwar, a top three-star quarterback, as the only two newcomers in his class at Rutgers so far.
