Houston, Texas News: Body Found With Gunshot, Stabbing Injuries Near Retention Pond

“We have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of surveillance video that we’re going to review,” said Sergeant Sidney Miller.

HOUSTON — A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds and possible stab wounds near a retention pond in northwest Houston Sunday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

HCSO Sergeant Sidney Miller said officers were called to the scene after receiving a call from Cy-Fair EMS around 6 a.m. reporting that a man in his 20s or 30s had been found dead. The body was found in a parking lot across from an apartment complex on Hollister Street near Little York Road.

The victim has not yet been identified and Miller said it is unclear how long the body had been there.

“We’re not sure at this point. We have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of surveillance video that we’re going to look at,” he said. “We’re going to try to find out who this guy is.”

Miller said that based on the man’s clothing, there may have been a struggle before he was killed. Bullet casings were found at the scene.
