Actors Arjun Ashokan and Sangeeth Prathap injured in car accident during bromance film shoot

Actor Arjun Ashokan And Sangeeth Prathap of Premalu fame, along with two others, were involved in a car accident which occurred in the early hours of July 27, Saturday, in Kochi. The incident took place around 1.30 am while the actors were shooting a chase scene for the upcoming film Bromancewhich had recently come onto the market.

All those involved in the accident, including the two actors, reported injuries. CCTV of the incident showed the car moving at high speed before spinning out of control and overturning. The car was reportedly driven by a stuntman. A food delivery driver whose bicycle was parked on the side of the road was also injured. injured in the accident. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital and are now in stable condition. The Ernakulam Central Police has registered a case of reckless driving.

The film’s shooting officially began on Monday, July 15, after a traditional auspicious pooja and switch-on ceremony in Kochi. The pooja was attended by the cast and crew, including lead actors Arjun and Mathew and actors Shyam Mohan and Sangeeth Prathap from Premalu. The news of the film’s shooting beginning was shared by its producer Ashiq Usman along with members of the crew on social media, along with videos and snaps from the pooja ceremony.

Bromance is co-written by director Arun, Raveesh Nath and Thomas P Sebastian. Arun and Raveesh had previously worked together on the director’s debut film Jo and Jo (2022) and the critically acclaimed Journey of Love 18+ (2023). The duo also worked together on Raveesh’s directorial debut film Samadhana Pusthakam, which stars Siju Wilson in a prominent role and releases on July 19.

Bromance also features Kalabhavan Shajohn and Binu Pappu in prominent roles. The technical team of the upcoming comedy-entertainment film includes cinematographer Akhil George, editor Chaman Chakko and music director Govind Vasantha. The film is produced by Ashiq Usman and distributed by Central Pictures.
