One person died after a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a motorcyclist was killed in the incident, which occurred around 5 a.m. on I-16 in Bryan County.

James Wilson Driggers of Savannah was struck from behind by a vehicle that left the scene.

Driggers was then hit by two other drivers who, according to police, were unable to avoid the collisions.

As of 4:50 p.m., the man responsible for the accident had not yet been identified. This story is becoming more and more current.
