Pineville police arrest man accused of attacking woman on Greenway – WSOC TV

PINEVILLE, NC — Pineville police say officers were able to catch a man who allegedly assaulted a woman on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway Monday afternoon.

According to Pineville police, a woman was jogging on the Greenway between Leitner Drive and Centrum Parkway around 2:15 p.m. and reported being “grabbed, thrown to the ground and depressed” by a man.

The victim managed to push the man off of her and ran toward nearby cyclists to call for help. According to PPD, officers arrived “within seconds of receiving the 911 call.”

Pineville police said officers found and arrested the suspect, identified as Tyrone Lyndin Duncan, 28.

Duncan is charged with assault on a woman and possession of methamphetamine.
