Man killed by truck rolling over near Lake Tahoe

TAHOMA, Calif. (KOLO) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in which a man was reportedly struck by a rolling vehicle. The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. in the area of ​​Lake Boulevard and Pine Street in Tahoma, near Lake Tahoe.

According to the CHP, a 53-year-old man from Hayward, California, attempted to stop a Ford F-450 truck that was rolling unoccupied through the parking lot, but was unable to do so. The man was trapped between the side of the Ford and the side of the semi’s trailer.

The man died of his injuries at the scene, CHP said. The accident is still under investigation.
