Major disruption due to complete closure of the Luas Green Line

There are significant traffic disruptions today as Luas was forced to close the entire Green Line.

Services have been suspended since 7 a.m. after drivers discovered problems with the overhead lines.

The Luas operator says several teams of technicians are working “tirelessly” to resolve the issues, but admits the process will take “several hours”.

Staff have been deployed at major Luas stops to assist customers.

All Luas tickets are valid for the duration of the Dublin Bus disruption.

Once the technicians have completed the inspection of the line, it will be reopened in stages:

The first phase: Brides Glen – St. Stephen’s Green

The second phase: Brides Glen – Parnell

The third phase: Brides Glen – Broombridge

The Red Line operates as usual.
