Two workers raped by shopkeepers in Nagarkurnool

NAGARKURNOOL: In a disturbing incident in Balmoor mandal of Nagarkurnool, two women workers from different villages were allegedly raped by two shopkeepers.

Vinod Singh and Ghajanand Singh, who run businesses in the city, approached the women and asked for daily wage work. The men claimed that they needed help with household chores and took the women to their homes.

After the work was completed, the men deceived the women with false promises and took them to Dindi in Nalgonda district in a car. They forced the women to drink alcohol and then drove to the outskirts of Hajipur near Srisailam-Hyderabad National Highway. Taking advantage of the women’s intoxicated state, the men allegedly raped them in the car.

The police have registered the case and started the investigation.
