Man from Zillah south of Toppenish shot dead, investigation ongoing

TOPPENISH, Wash. – A Zillah man was shot and killed south of Toppenish on the morning of Friday, July 12, according to a news release from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.

YCSO reports that officers were called to the area of ​​Larue Road and Highway 97 for a report of a man shot in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers attempted to save the life of the man, who later died.

An autopsy identified the man as 52-year-old Dennis Alex Davido of Zillah.
