3 people arrested after alleged kidnapping of 12 migrants in Juarez

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – According to the State Secretariat of Public Security (Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del Estado), three people were recently arrested after allegedly kidnapping 12 migrants in Ciudad Juárez.

The Secretariat said Jairo PZ (42), Daniel PZ (23) and Ashley TM (28) were arrested after officers received a report of three suspicious people in the streets of Praderas del Sol. Officers were later able to locate the people through surveillance footage.


The allegedly kidnapped migrants come from Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador and El Salvador. The Secretariat says they were physically and sexually abused.

According to the Secretariat, a firearm, a magazine and some cartridges were confiscated during the arrest of the persons.

The three persons were arrested and handed over to the Attorney General of the Republic (Fiscalía General de la República).
