Chautauqua County Fair
The Chautauqua County Fair opened Tuesday and runs through Sunday in Dunkirk. The fairgrounds will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the amusement park from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Sunday. “Our fair will once again welcome the public with Amusements of America rides, nightly grandstand events, delicious fair food, animal exhibits and shows, and entertainment for all,” its website states. Tonawanda Canal Festival
The 2024 Canal Fest of the Tonawandas kicked off last Sunday and continues through Sunday in the area of ​​Webster, Niagara, Main and Canal Streets in the Town of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda. “Canal Fest of the Tonawandas is the largest outdoor festival of its kind! Covering 2 square miles along the banks of the historic Erie Barge Canal, this 8-day family festival is shared by the twin towns of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda in beautiful Western New York. Hamburg BurgerFest
Hamburg BurgerFest will take place Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. along Main and Buffalo Streets in Hamburg. “BurgerFest celebrates the ‘birth’ of the hamburger at the 1885 Erie County Fair on the Hamburg Fairgrounds and has been held in Hamburg since 1985. Our one-day festival, held on the third Saturday in July, features plenty of delicious food (especially burgers!), live music and a classic car show,” its website states. The BPO’s Musical Magic of Harry Potter will take place Friday at 7 p.m. at Terminal B of Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. “Celebrate the magic of Harry Potter in musical form as the BPO takes audiences to Hogwarts. Grease Pole Festival
The 53rd annual Grease Pole Festival will take place Friday through Sunday at 261 Swan Street in Buffalo. Friday will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday will run from noon to 11 p.m. There will be live entertainment, food/drink, arts and crafts, bouncy castles, and information tables. The Human BuffaLove event
The Human BuffaLove event will take place at Canalside on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Hundreds of people will gather at this community lunchtime event where a bison-themed aerial photography formation will be captured,” the event page states. Mafia Con 2024
The first-ever Mafia Con will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the WNY Heroes Event Center located at 1001 East Delevan Avenue. There will be appearances by Buffalo Bills players, vendors, food trucks, and opportunities to meet local podcast personalities and try the collaboration with Community Beer Works.
