Lawrence Taylor is arrested again for failing to register as a sex offender

Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor has been arrested again.

Taylor turned himself in on Wednesday via TMZ.com. He is facing charges of a crime for failure to report a change of name or residence as a registered sex offender.

The incident occurred in Broward County, Florida. He spent several hours behind bars before being released.

Taylor was arrested in December 2021 on similar charges.

His lawyer said in a statement to TMZ.com that the recent situation was the result of a “misunderstanding” and that he did not knowingly commit a crime.

Taylor was declared a sex offender in 2011. This status requires him to notify authorities of any change of residence.
