Rape: Neighbour rapes 45-year-old woman in locked room | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A 45-year-old woman was allegedly locked in a room in Ratibad on Tuesday morning and raped by a 35-year-old neighbour. Based on her complaint, Ratibad police registered a rape case against the accused and started investigation. Police said the 45-year-old woman had stated in her complaint that she had gone to her neighbour’s house around 8 am on Tuesday morning to meet his wife. After a few minutes of conversation, the neighbour’s wife went to work. Soon after, when the complainant was about to leave the house, the accused pounced on her and dragged her inside. He locked the room and raped her. When she protested, the accused threatened to kill her and the children. The woman returned home after the incident. When her family members later returned home, she narrated the incident to them and reported it to Ratibad police late in the evening. A case was registered and the accused was arrested. Further investigation is on.
