Crash near Bridal Veil Falls kills man

BRIDAL VEIL FALLS, Utah – A man died in a car accident near Bridal Veil Falls Thursday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Cam Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 3:59 p.m. A Chevy Cobalt was traveling westbound when it lost control due to heavy rain. This caused the Chevy to spin into the eastbound lane where a Kia Sorrento struck the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The driver of the Chevy was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia was also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident temporarily closed the eastbound lanes.
