Homicide detectives investigate suspicious death of woman in Victorville – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a woman Thursday afternoon in the city of Victorville.

It happened on May 9, 2024 at approximately 3:10 p.m. in the 16300 block of Orick Avenue.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said officers were responding to a possible suicide attempt.

“Based on the initial investigation, the death appears to be suspicious and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation,” Rodriguez said.

According to Rodriguez, the deceased was an adult female.

Several homicide detectives and a CSI truck arrived at the scene.

Orick Avenue is closed in both directions at Enramada Road.

The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
