Hawaii Island Police are asking the public for help in locating 16-year-old Carmella French, who has been reported as a runaway. Because French requires medication, she is considered at risk.

French was last seen on the afternoon of July 16, 2024 in the 1700 block of Kinoole Street in Hilo.

She was last seen wearing a black and pink jersey top, black shorts, black Crocs, and a pink and black backpack.

French is 1.55 m tall, weighs about 80 kg, has brown eyes and long, wavy brown hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on French’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
