Mother of rapper shot during brawl at Lafayette nightclub files suit in federal court | Crime

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (KADN) – The mother of a rapper shot and killed by an off-duty police officer is filing a wrongful death lawsuit.

According to police, the officer shot 28-year-old Deiondre Solomon after he shot another man during a fight at La Bamba on Johnston Street.

The federal court lawsuit alleges that the police officer who shot Solomon was not mentally fit for duty.
