Woman in Hyderabad victim of gang rape in car

Of late, Hyderabad is becoming a hub of gruesome crimes. We have witnessed many such crimes in the city in recent times. In the recent horrific incident, a woman was raped by several men in a moving car on Friday night.

To go into detail, the 29-year-old victim went to the police station on Friday to file a complaint of domestic violence. She booked a car through Uber to drive from her residence in Yapral to the police station.

A car (AP 11TA 0266) picked her up from Yapral and dropped her off at Alwal police station. After filing the complaint, the victim returned home in the same car.

According to reports, the car driver, Shankar, behaved suspiciously and tried to engage the victim in conversation. He drove with her through narrow streets and stopped near a wine shop.

Later, two of his friends joined him in the car. They started threatening the victim. Later, Shanker handed her over to his friends who put her in a car.

She was then raped in a moving car across the city until 2:45 a.m. She was later reportedly abandoned in a remote area.

The victim reported the incident to the police with the help of local residents. The police have now arrested the driver and are searching for two other perpetrators.
