LI pastor charged with sexually abusing teen in church

A perverted pastor was arrested for sexually abusing a teenager at a Long Island church, authorities said Thursday.

According to Suffolk County police, 71-year-old preacher Clinton Bucknor allegedly molested a 15-year-old girl in the basement of the Huntington Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Huntington Station in March.

Bucknor, of Huntington, is also accused of sending the alleged victim an inappropriate text message and photo.

The sickening claims came to light after the girl’s sister notified police on Wednesday, officials said.

The accused was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with two counts of criminal solicitation, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of children.

He is scheduled to be arraigned May 10 in First District Court in Central Islip.

A message left at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Huntington was not immediately returned Thursday evening.
