1 injured in boating accident in DeKalb County, Tennessee

DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – At least one person was injured in a boating accident Sunday in DeKalb County.

According to the DeKalb County Fire Department, emergency crews were called to the area of ​​Old Highway 26 and Sparta Highway around 11:19 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, to respond to reports of a boating accident.

Due to the person’s injuries, rescue workers said they had to call a rescue helicopter to transport the patient to a trauma center.

The patient’s current condition and the circumstances of the boating accident remain unknown.
