Triple murder: Man kills wife and two daughters and assumes it was a traffic accident

Raghunathapalem police said on Sunday that they had solved a triple murder case that was initially believed to be a road accident.

A discreet investigation into the case brought to light the gruesome triple murder of a woman and her two daughters by her husband on May 28 in Manchukonda. Police identified the accused as Boda Praveen, 32, a native of Bavojithanda in Raghunathapalem mandal, a physiotherapist in a private hospital in Hyderabad. Praveen was arrested by the Khammam police on Sunday.

According to police, Praveen allegedly had an extramarital affair with his colleague, a nurse from Kerala. To get rid of his wife Boda Kumari and daughters Krushika and Krutika, he hatched a murder plan and executed it on May 28. Praveen allegedly administered an overdose of a drug to his wife on the pretext of using it to ease her pain while he was driving the trio to their native village in his car. Kumari succumbed to the lethal dose. He allegedly strangled his two daughters and tried to make their deaths appear accidental by driving the car into a roadside tree near Manchukonda on the same day, police added.

Police arrested Praveen on Sunday following the shocking revelations about the triple murder.
