Woman arrested after wrong-way driving accident that killed two people and her dog

WEST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – A woman is facing several charges in connection with a wrong-way driving crash that killed two people and their dog, according to state police.

Authorities said Michelle Miller, 29, of Wolcott, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, two counts of misdemeanor with a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, cruelty to animals, injury or endangerment of minors, reckless driving, speeding, driving the wrong way on highways and failure to maintain proper lane.

Miller turned himself in on Wednesday on an arrest warrant.

State police said the accident occurred on September 6, 2023 on Interstate 84 in West Hartford.

Miller was driving on I-84 West when she turned left, crossed the median and moved into the left lane of I-84 East. Police say she struck a Subaru Impreza.

State police said both occupants of the Subaru were killed. They were identified as 26-year-old Natalia Dudzinski and a 2-year-old passenger.

According to the arrest warrant, Miller had alcohol and marijuana in his system at the time of the accident.

Miller’s dog was in the car with her and died in the accident.

According to police, Miller was held on $750,000 bail and appeared in court Thursday morning.
