Man arrested after motorcycle chase through Smyth and Wythe counties | WJHL

SMYTH COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) – The Smyth County Sheriff’s Office helped arrest a man who allegedly led multiple agencies on a chase on a stolen motorcycle Tuesday night.

Sergeant Jackson of the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office told News Channel 11 that Wesley Adam Keesee of Shenandoah, Virginia, was arrested following the pursuit and taken to the Abingdon Regional Jail.

Sergeant Jackson said the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office initiated a pursuit of a black sport motorcycle.

When the chase reached Interstate 81, units from Smyth County and the Virginia State Police (VSP) were called in.

Jackson said the pursuit continued to Duncan Road in Smyth County, where Keesee drove through an unidentified residence that had “No Trespassing” signs posted. He was arrested after being cornered in the driveway.

It turns out that Keesee was wanted out of Page County, Virginia on drug-related warrants. Sergeant Jackson said Keesee was charged by all agencies involved, including trespassing, fleeing from a crime and other related charges.
