2 school employees in Georgia accused of sexually abusing students

Two school employees are accused of having sex with students in a Georgia school district in 2021 and 2022.

Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler were charged with first-degree sexual contact by an employee or agent on Thursday, June 28, in Gordon County, Georgia, 11 Alive, WSB TV and FOX 5 Atlanta reported, citing the indictment.

Greeson is accused of having sex with a male student between October 2021 and January 2022, while Shuler is accused of having sex with a male student between October 2021 and January 2022, according to the indictment, media reported.

According to the indictment, Gresson was charged with two felonies and Shuler was charged with one felony.

The indictment did not identify the school district by name, but WSB TV identified the district as the Calhoun City School District. PEOPLE has reached out to the district for comment.

The ages of the students were not disclosed, media reported, but the indictment said the women “should have reasonably known” that the alleged victims were enrolled as students, according to 11 Alive, FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB TV.

It was not immediately clear whether the suspects have confessed or hired lawyers to speak on their behalf.
