The Lougheed Highway is closed in both directions east of Agassiz near Seabird Island following an early morning traffic accident. The highway, which spans the Maria Slough, remains closed in both directions shortly before 9:00 a.m.

The highway, which spans the Maria Slough, remains closed in both directions as of just before 9:00 a.m. An update from Drive BC is expected later in the morning.
