Two people arrested after road rage incident in Aroostook that left a pedestrian injured

Two Presque Isle men were arrested Saturday night after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of what police described as “road rage.”

Fort Fairfield police received several complaints about a vehicle traveling toward town from neighboring Presque Isle at a high rate of speed and behaving erratically starting around 7:30 p.m., Police Chief Matthew Cummings said on social media. The suspect vehicle continued into Fort Fairfield and reportedly followed other vehicles on side streets.

Some of the vehicles, including the suspect’s vehicle, stopped at a supermarket, where a verbal altercation ensued, according to Cummings.
