First Alert Weather: Classic mid-summer weather for Rochester

A weak cold front will move across Western New York, lowering humidity for the rest of the weekend. Then, a high pressure system will move across the Northeast early in the week, making for a pleasant start to the second week of July. Heat and humidity will pick up again on Monday and Tuesday, and the chance of rain will increase as the week progresses.

Additionally, Tropical Storm Beryl will make landfall in South Texas as either a weak hurricane or a strong tropical storm, and the remnants of Beryl could bring us some rain later this week.

Saturday night is expected to be mostly clear, with humidity dropping overnight and temperatures dropping below 15 degrees. Sunday will be a pleasant summer day with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will drop below 27 degrees. Monday and Tuesday will see the return of heat and humidity. Temperatures will be above 27 degrees on both days, perhaps even 32 degrees. Then Tuesday night, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see passing showers and thunderstorms.
