Tonight sunny and warm with temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees. Tonight clear and mild, lows between 10 and 10 degrees. Tomorrow on July 4th it will be even hotter with highs between 35 and 35 degrees.

Heatwave…A massive ridge of high pressure continues to build off the West Coast and will move inland through Friday. At the same time, a thermal low from the desert Southwest is moving north, driving our temperatures above 100 degrees. This configuration will form a heat dome over the Pacific Northwest, drying out the region each day. Temperatures will peak next Tuesday, with highs near 100 degrees in the Columbia Basin. The dangerous heat will continue at least through next Friday. Record temperatures are likely – yuck! Fire danger will remain elevated for the next seven days due to the heat, dryness, and winds of 5-15 mph. Models suggest we will not see any significant cooling until Monday or Tuesday, July 15-16.

Stay cool and take care of yourself!
