1 dead after collision in Visalia | YourCentralValley.com

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One person died Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Visalia, according to Visalia police.

Officers said they were called to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of ​​Mooney Boulevard and Cameron Avenue around 9 p.m.


According to officials, it was initially believed the driver had fled the scene of the accident, but it turned out he had pulled into a nearby parking lot and contacted police to report the collision.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say the driver is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
