Appeal for witnesses to investigate jewelery theft begins

Officials have launched an appeal for witnesses to find a witness to a jewelry theft.

Members of Gwent Police’s Newport officer team are appealing for witnesses in connection with the theft of a number of necklaces from a jewellery shop in the Kingsway Centre in Newport.

Necklaces were stolen from Assets Jewellery between 11:25am and 11:45am on Saturday 29 June and Gwent Police have now launched an investigation into the reported theft.

They have released a photo of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

It is believed that he will be able to assist officers in their ongoing investigation.

Gwent Police are now asking anyone who recognises the man in the picture, or thinks it may be him, to contact police on 101 or direct message police via Facebook or X, quoting log reference 2400215391.
