Capcom Next: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster to be released on September 19th, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess demo released today

Experience a whole new world of Capcom today

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a new Japanese-inspired IP from Capcom coming to PS5 and PS4, continuing the spirit of new and innovative games from the company’s 40-year history. To prepare for the game’s launch on July 19, a demo of the game is available today!

Take your first steps on the desecrated Mount Kafuku in the demo and experience the game’s mix of action and strategy first hand in a content-rich demo.

In addition to giving you the chance to try out the game’s unique mix of playstyles, this demo also has a unique twist! We’re challenging the community to work together to complete two challenges to earn free full-game rewards for all players. You’ll want to play and work together to achieve them, as these rewards include cooperative content featuring the beloved 2006 action-adventure classic Okami.

In the first challenge, we’re asking the community to defeat the Seethe creatures and purify the taint to earn 1 billion crystals in-game. These crystals are earned through normal gameplay, so play the demo and defeat the Seethe as many times as you can! For completing this task, all players will receive two Okami-inspired rewards: a costume for Soh modeled after the Celestial Brush God Amaterasu, and the Thunder Edge weapon inspired by one of Amaterasu’s Divine Instruments. Awoooooo~

Additionally, if you find the 15 hidden Lucky Mallet Easter eggs in the demo and share them on social media, you’ll receive the Waka costume for Yoshiro and the Okami BGM pack, which lets you listen to an Okami collaboration soundtrack while playing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Keep an eye on the official Kunitsu-Gami social media account for details and updates on the campaign!

The game is all about working with villagers to clean up the world, so we hope you feel the spirit of cooperation as you play and earn those Okami rewards.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is now available for pre-order on PS5 and PS4, and the worldwide release is getting closer on Friday, July 19th! All of us on the team can’t wait for everyone to try the game and experience its unique gameplay for themselves.

Frank is back in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

This game is anything but undead, as this new version has been brought back to life using Capcom’s RE Engine, featuring improved graphics, reworked lighting and shadows, and character models running at up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

If you’re not familiar with Dead Rising, the story is set in Willamette, Colorado. Freelance photojournalist Frank West goes in search of a big scoop and finds himself in the massive Willamette Parkview Mall, where he becomes embroiled in a zombie outbreak and has just 72 hours to uncover the truth. The original Dead Rising was created with a penchant for B-movie horror films and is beloved for its wry, self-serious tone, dark humor, wacky characters, and unique gameplay mechanics.

Plan your in-game time wisely to explore the different areas of the mall, which are full of different goods that could come in handy as you fight through hordes of zombies or help guide survivors to safety from the dangers of the mall and its residents. Use anything you can as a weapon, wear outlandish outfits, and unleash death-defying moves as you revel in the crazy world of Dead Rising!

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster includes a number of adjustments and quality of life improvements to make this updated version of the game a hit on new platforms. Below is a short list of some of them.

  • The ability to move while aiming
  • Improved controls and user interface
  • Beautify your photos with filters
  • The auto-save feature keeps your progress up to date. Manual saving is also supported
  • All interactions with NPCs and survivors are fully voiced.
  • …and more

Pre-orders for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster begin today. The Digital Deluxe version includes 17 additional costumes for Frank, as well as 17 special BGM tracks. Pre-order the game to receive 3 additional costumes, including Frank West’s original look from the 2006 game, the costume of Chuck Greene, the protagonist of Dead Rising 2, and a costume for the mall’s mascot, the Willamette Parkview Mall Bee. Pre-orders also include three additional BGM tracks.

We’ll be sharing more about the game in the coming days and weeks leading up to its digital release on September 19th.
