Several fire departments battle Buffalo County fire

KEARNEY, Neb. — Multiple crews battled a fire at a house northwest of Kearney overnight.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office said in a post around 3:30 a.m. Monday that everyone inside escaped without injury.

They said Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, Elm Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, Amherst Volunteer Fire Department and Gibbon Volunteer Fire and Rescue were on scene in the 6000 block of 40th Avenue.
