Deputies: Sodus man threatened child with firearm during domestic incident

A Sodus man was arrested on June 30 following a domestic incident involving a child.

Officers arrested 58-year-old Lavern A. Leach on Maple Avenue. Leach is accused of threatening a child under the age of 17 with a large tree branch and threatening to use a firearm against the child.

Leach was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment and will appear in Sodus Village Court at a later date.
